Check this out! I kinda want to use this method to add platforms to some sandals. You really could add them to most shoes! Pretty awesome.

For Christmas this year I decided to do mostly handmade gifts because it is cheaper, more fun, and more meaningful to the reciever.
Teacup candles are what I decided to make for my sister. The design was inspired by this geometric clutch made by Tiktok Vintage. There are many very helpful teacup candle tutorials on different blogs and sites, which I used as guidelines. Here’s how I did mine.
What You’ll Need:
wax for container candles
candle fragrance (optional)
paints (I used acrylic)
paint sealer (I forgot to use this, but it would have helped ALOT)
two wooden sticks
The teacups I used were plain eggshell colored teacups, nothing fancy. I used painters tape to make the designs I wanted.
I then melted the wax in a bowl and added the fragrance. If you wanted to make your wax colored you could add concentrated color wax or at this point.
To hold the candle wick up, since I didn’t have any glue to paste it down, I used a method shown on several different tutorials. Use two wooden sticks taped together to made a wick holder to keep it up and straight.
When pouring the wax in BE VERY CAREFUL. I ended up having dribbles down the side of one teacup which were really hard to remove.
Then just I just waited for the wax to harden, and voilà!
Now I’m off to sew my mom her gift, a camera case! That’s right. It is the DAY BEFORE before Christmas Eve, which is our Christmas day. I’m awesome.
